1. Who can join. You must be 18 or over. We may accept or decline any application. You need a Shopify Collabs account and must follow Collabs' own rules. You need an Instagram Creator or Business account only if you connect Instagram.
2. What you earn. You earn 15% commission on every qualifying sale through your Sero link. Only first-time customers count: a customer's first order with Sero. Repeat orders from the same customer do not earn commission. Every Sero cap counts, including limited editions. We do not give you a customer discount code. A qualifying sale is one cap in a first-time customer's order tracked to your link that has passed the 30-day hold and has not been returned, cancelled or fully refunded (part refunds are covered in point 6). It must not be bought by you, anyone in your household or anyone paid by you, and must not be fraud. We count per cap.
3. How we calculate it. Commission is worked out on the price the customer pays for the cap after discounts, excluding tax and shipping, and after any part refund. If Collabs works it out differently, our rule applies and we correct it at the next payout and tell you.
4. Tracking. An order counts as yours if the customer places it within 30 days of last clicking your link. If the customer clicks another creator's link after yours, the later link gets the sale. Our records and Collabs' reports decide which orders count. If an order has been credited wrongly, we may correct it, and the commission, up or down, and will tell you.
5. Getting paid. Commission is held for 30 days from the order. After that it is paid through Shopify Collabs in its next payout run. Payouts run twice a month, once your balance is at least $25. Smaller balances roll over to the next payout. Payments are in US dollars, by the payout method you set up in Collabs. You must turn on payouts in your Collabs account. If your payout account is in another currency, any conversion fee is yours. We pay Collabs' processing fee.
6. Refunds. If an order is returned, cancelled or fully refunded during the hold, no commission is paid on it. If an order is partly refunded, commission on it is reduced in proportion. If a refund happens after we have paid you, we may take that commission off your next payout, or ask you to repay it if no further payout is due.
7. What does not earn commission. Your own orders, household orders, and orders placed for you or paid for by you. Cancelled, returned, fully refunded or charged-back orders. Repeat orders from customers who have ordered from Sero before. Fraud, fake orders or any trick to create clicks or sales, including paying or rewarding people to buy through your link. If we reasonably think an order breaks these terms, we may cancel its commission and will tell you why if you ask. Traffic from coupon or deal sites. Search ads bidding on "Sero", "Sero Silks" or similar words. Spam, including unsolicited messages and link drops in other people's comments.
8. Say it is an ad. Every post with your link must be clearly marked as an ad. Start the caption with #ad or "Ad", or show "Ad" on screen at the start of a video, and use the platform's paid partnership label. Do not hide it among other hashtags or behind "more". You may also say "I earn commission from Sero", but that does not replace the ad label. "#affiliate", "#aff", "#sp" and "#gifted" on their own are not enough.
9. What you can say. You may say the silk lining "helps reduce friction and breakage", and nothing stronger. Only say what is true for you. Do not say a Sero cap prevents or treats hair loss, prevents breakage, stops or eliminates hat hair, or makes any medical or health claim. No claims about sleep, and no bonnet comparisons. Do not mention prices or discounts that Sero has not given you.
10. You are not Sero. Do not pretend to speak for us. Do not use a name, page, site or ad that looks like ours. Use only our photos or your own content.
11. Taxes. You are responsible for your own taxes. We may ask US creators for a W-9 through our secure link, and we may pause or cancel commission until we have it. Do not send tax forms by email or DM. We do not promise to issue a Form 1099.
12. Ending or changing the programme. We may remove you from the programme at any time by notice through Collabs or by email. If you break these terms, we may remove you straight away and cancel commission on the orders affected. Otherwise, orders placed before you were removed still earn commission once they qualify. We may change these terms, change the commission rate, or pause or end the programme, by giving you at least 14 days' notice. Changes apply only to sales after the notice period ends. You may leave at any time.
13. Your data. We use your details to run the programme, as set out in our privacy policy: https://serosilks.com/policies/privacy-policy.
14. Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute, unless the law where you live says you may go to your local court. This does not take away any mandatory rights you have where you live.
